GiantX Sign Oscarinin for LEC Summer Split after Flakked Promotion
GiantX has signed former Fnatic top laner Óscar ‘Oscarinin’ Muñoz for the LEC 2026 Summer Split, marking a significant roster overhaul for the Spanish/British organization. The signing follows the promotion of fellow Spaniard Víctor ‘Flakked’ Lirola to the senior roster as Bot Laner, with both players replacing departing members Noah and Lot.
The roster changes come after GiantX finished fourth in both the LEC Versus 2026 and LEC 2026 Spring splits. During those competitions, the organization functioned primarily as a gatekeeper—capable of defeating strong contenders like Vitality and NAVI but unable to consistently challenge the league’s elite tier of G2, Karmine Corp, and MKOI. Despite being theoretically close to qualification contention, GiantX’s performance plateaued against top-tier competition.
The moves represent a strategic reset for management, signaling belief that roster restructuring is necessary to elevate the team beyond their current competitive ceiling. The dual signing of Spanish talent underscores GiantX’s continued focus on regional player development while attempting to inject new dynamics into their lineup for the Summer Split.
