GTA 6 takes aim at TikTok with a new social network where we’ll apparently be able to follow influencers, get side missions, and maybe get famous?
GTA 6 will feature an integrated in-game social network allowing players to watch viral videos, follow influencers, and discover secret side missions, according to leaked product descriptions from Brazilian retailers Amazon and KaBuM. The platform parody continues Rockstar’s satirical tradition: GTA 5 featured Lifeinvader (Facebook) and Bleeter (Twitter), while GTA 4 included Tw@ (internet parody).
The leak, discovered June 25-26 on Brazilian retail sites, reveals players will access the social network through their character’s cell phone. Details also include a massively expanded Vice City map with dynamic weather and NPCs with independent routines, alongside next-generation graphics enhancements. While some uncertainty exists about the authenticity of certain descriptions—Amazon listings can be altered by third parties—multiple Brazilian retailers have confirmed similar information.
Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed these features ahead of GTA 6’s November 19 release. The leak represents one of the largest feature reveals before the upcoming third official trailer, providing insight into how the developer is expanding world interactivity and engagement systems for this highly anticipated title.
