This Retro Gaming Monitor Will Let You Play Old Consoles Just Like The ’90s
Unico has unveiled the ULW10 Retro Gaming Monitor, branded as the “Traveler,” bringing authentic CRT gaming experiences into the modern era. The compact 10.1-inch display features a classic 4:3 aspect ratio, mirroring the proportions of televisions from the 1990s when console gaming dominated home entertainment.
The monitor supports an impressive array of inputs to accommodate retro hardware: S-Video, RGB, RCA, VGA, and HDMI, making it compatible with older gaming consoles while offering modern connectivity options. This versatility allows players to connect everything from classic systems to contemporary devices through HDMI.
Three distinctive color schemes will be available: off-white, black, and a special red-and-white design inspired by the iconic Famicom console. The ULW10 features intuitive controls on the back panel, including buttons and knobs for adjusting volume and RGB color settings on the fly. The monitor also includes a detachable back piece for portability and customization.
The Traveler represents a growing trend in gaming culture where enthusiasts seek to recapture the authentic experience of 1990s console gaming, complete with the distinctive visual characteristics of CRT displays. This device bridges the gap between retro nostalgia and modern convenience, offering a practical solution for those who want to play classic games as originally intended, without requiring bulky vintage television equipment.
