Evo 2026 is ongoing with tons of reveals — here’s what we’ve learned
Evo 2026, the premier esports event for fighting games, is currently taking place in Las Vegas this weekend. The tournament features competitive matches across major titles including Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, while simultaneously serving as a major announcement platform for the fighting game industry.
The event has already delivered several significant reveals. Publishers have announced Rivals of Aether 2 and Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, demonstrating the event’s importance for reaching the competitive fighting game community. Koei Tecmo has also teased the first new fighter addition to Dead or Alive 6 Last Round.
Evo’s dual role as both competitive tournament and industry showcase creates a challenge for following all announcements, as reveals are interspersed between matches across multiple concurrent streams. Coverage is being updated throughout the weekend to compile all major fighting game announcements emerging from the event, making it easier for the community to stay informed of new releases and content.
