Palworld 1.0 update has ‘27 pdf pages of changes and additions,’ says publishing lead

Palworld is set to reach version 1.0 on July 10, marking the early-access survival-craft game’s official launch. According to Pocketpair’s communications and publishing head John “Bucky” Buckley, the update will be substantial, spanning 27 PDF pages of changes and additions.

The scope of the 1.0 update is extensive enough that Buckley joked about “losing [his] mind trying to make nice patch notes,” highlighting the challenge of documenting such a comprehensive release. Rather than a nominal version bump, the 1.0 update represents a significant milestone for the game’s development after its early-access period.

The milestone comes as Palworld continues to navigate its legal disputes with Nintendo, which has alleged patent infringement related to the game’s creature-collecting mechanics. Despite the prominent legal challenge, the game has maintained development momentum and appears positioned to move forward with its official release.
