Netflix’s Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 gets a first trailer, starring a character with perhaps the biggest death-flag of all time

Netflix released the first full trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, confirming the animated series will premiere in Fall 2026 with 10 episodes. The new season follows a completely different cast of four characters navigating Night City: Weak Kingsley, a washed-up edgerunner; D, a vengeful member of the Snake Nation nomads; Talia Yang, a cybernetically enhanced thrill-seeker; and Roman Carax, a cinephile documenting the group through VHS recordings.

The trailer showcases the series’ signature intense, gritty aesthetic with vibrant neon visuals, violence, and emotional turmoil. Much of the teaser features retro-style video footage through Roman’s camera lens, capturing the show’s dark atmosphere as it explores Night City’s brutal underworld. The trailer features music from artist Rico Nasty and reveals locations pulled directly from the Cyberpunk 2077 video game.

The series is a collaboration between Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger, directed by Kai Ikarashi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, SSSS.Gridman) with Bartosz Sztybor as showrunner and story writer. The first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was highly successful for Netflix, and Season 2 appears poised to maintain the same kinetic energy despite featuring entirely new characters and storylines.
