Thermaltake Retro 360 TG case review
PC Gamer reviews the Thermaltake Retro 360 TG, a beige PC case with a retro-inspired aesthetic and tempered glass panel. The case can be optionally upgraded with a 6-inch LCD screen for additional cost. The reviewers verdict is cautiously positive, positioning it as a solid mid-range option for enthusiasts seeking retro styling without premium pricing, though it falls short of the polish offered by higher-end competitors.
The case excels in several areas. Its clean retro aesthetic and glass panel provide good visual appeal, cooling support is adequate for all-around use, and it undercuts other retro-themed cases on price. However, the review identifies multiple shortcomings. The fake front panel detailing is criticized as inauthentic, cable management is described as poor, storage options are basic with minimal modern features, and the restrictive front intake limits airflow potential.
Overall, the Thermaltake Retro 360 TG is recommended for users who prioritize retro design appeal and budget-conscious pricing over cutting-edge features and refinement. While it competes well within the budget retro case segment, it doesn’t match the premium quality and functionality of pricier alternatives. For builders willing to compromise on some modern conveniences in favor of nostalgic styling, it represents a worthwhile option.
