This more affordable Xbox expansion card beats Amazon’s Prime Day discount with a 1TB SSD matching Seagate’s performance
Western Digital’s WD_Black C50 Expansion Card offers a more affordable alternative to Seagate’s Storage Expansion Cards for Xbox Series X|S consoles. The 1TB model is currently available at Best Buy for $149.99, representing a 58% discount and undercutting comparable Amazon Prime Day deals. Despite the lower cost, the WD_Black C50 maintains performance comparable to Seagate’s offerings while providing the same functionality for expanding console storage.
The card addresses accessibility concerns in the gaming hardware market, where high prices have made storage expansion options less attractive to average players amid an ongoing technology affordability crisis. With similar read speeds and a well-regarded design, the WD_Black C50 provides gamers with a cost-effective way to increase their Xbox Series X|S install space without premium pricing. Windows Central’s review awarded the product four out of five stars, highlighting its performance, design, and improved price point as key advantages for console owners seeking storage expansion.
