Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced details PS5 performance targets and features, with the Pro console getting extra love and 60 FPS across the board
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launches July 9, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing Ubisoft’s latest take on the beloved pirate adventure to current-generation hardware. The remake, built on the latest Anvil engine, features three graphics modes on PlayStation 5: Performance targeting 60 FPS, Balanced at 40 FPS, and Fidelity at 30 FPS, all rendered at upscaled 4K resolution. The game includes standard ray tracing support in Performance mode and extended ray tracing in the other modes, alongside HDR support, Dolby Atmos audio, and DualSense controller haptic feedback integration.
The PS5 Pro receives enhanced treatment, leveraging the console’s superior processing power and advanced PSSR upscaling technology to deliver the sharpest visuals available on PlayStation hardware. Among the visual enhancements is dedicated hair-rendering technology designed to improve character appearance throughout the Caribbean setting.
Performance parity extends to Xbox Series X, which matches the PS5’s resolution and frame rate capabilities across all three graphics modes. However, Xbox Series S players face restrictions, limited to a single 30 FPS Fidelity mode at 1620p resolution. While Series S supports ray tracing, it lacks access to Performance and Balanced mode options available on more powerful hardware. The summer release timing capitalizes on the lower-intensity game release schedule heading into the year’s busy late months.
