Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Trailer Released, And It Looks Awesome
Netflix has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the upcoming second season of the critically-acclaimed animated series set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. The series will premiere in Autumn 2026 exclusively on Netflix, following its predecessor with 10 episodes.
Directed by Kai Ikarashi and written by Bartosz Sztybor, who also serves as producer and showrunner, Edgerunners 2 will introduce an entirely new cast of characters. The story promises to be notably darker than the original season, with the official description describing Night City “at its most brutal.”
According to the show’s description, the narrative functions as a “raw chronicle of redemption and revenge,” exploring the intersection of violence and spectacle. The story poses the central question: “When the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes do you have to go to make your story matter?” in a city that thrives on the spotlight of violence. Like the first season, Edgerunners 2 remains a self-contained story within the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, designed to be accessible to viewers regardless of their familiarity with the game.
