Forgotten Odysseys is a deadly TTRPG inspired by The Odyssey and Final Destination

“Forgotten Odysseys” is a new tabletop role-playing game inspired by Christopher Nolan’s 2025 film adaptation of “The Odyssey” and the horror-thriller franchise “Final Destination.” Designed by Adam Bradford, founder of D&D Beyond and designer of “Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying,” the game builds upon the lethal gameplay mechanics of “Mörk Borg,” a notoriously deadly TTRPG system renowned for its stylish presentation and pervasive atmosphere of danger.

In “Forgotten Odysseys,” players take on the roles of survivors from the Trojan War attempting to return home, mirroring Odysseus’s treacherous journey. Bradford specifically chose the “Mörk Borg” system for its ability to evoke constant peril and the sense that situations could turn catastrophic at any moment—capturing both the mythological epic’s harrowing voyage and the survival-horror ethos of “Final Destination.”

The game is currently being crowdfunded through a Kickstarter campaign running through July 23. The project promises a TTRPG experience where danger lurks at every turn, combining Greek mythology with modern horror sensibilities to create a uniquely lethal tabletop adventure.
