Helldivers 2 is launching a new campaign focused on constructing a “Celestial Fence,” a defensive barrier designed to combat the ongoing Terminid threat. Framed by Super Earth Command as a “flawless, updated, and entirely safe Terminid Control System wall,” the initiative aims to “permanently quarantine” the hostile alien species.
The campaign is structured as a community-driven effort requiring players to defend construction sites, gather vital resources, and maintain defensive positions against Terminid attacks to “guarantee eternal planetary security.” The operation employs satirical political messaging, characterizing the Terminids as “fascist” and promising players a “morale boosting freedom incentive” for their participation.
Upon successful completion, players will be rewarded with the R-4 Hyena Marksmen rifle. This campaign follows a previous successful community operation, reinforcing Helldivers 2’s live-service model of collaborative, time-limited events that advance the game’s overarching narrative while providing players with meaningful rewards.
