Pokemon Go July 2026 Events: Raids, Spotlight Hours, Go Fest, And More
Pokemon Go is celebrating its tenth anniversary in July 2026 with a slate of special events throughout the month. The mobile game will feature a Pikachu celebration, a new Timed Research questline for Professor Willow’s birthday, and rotating Raid bosses and Spotlight Pokemon encounters as part of the ongoing “Forever Forward” season.
The centerpiece of July’s event calendar is the global Go Fest, which will serve as players’ first opportunity to encounter and catch Mewtwo’s Mega-Evolved forms. This represents a major milestone for the long-running mobile title, as Go Fest has consistently been one of Pokemon Go’s most significant annual events for community engagement and exclusive content.
The month’s packed event schedule underscores Pokemon Go’s continued reliance on seasonal content and limited-time activities to maintain player engagement. With multiple timed events staggered throughout July, the game offers both longtime players and new users compelling reasons to engage with the app. The focus on special Pokemon encounters, research quests, and raid content reflects the game’s core gameplay loop while marking a significant anniversary for a title that has remained culturally relevant since its 2016 launch.
