Esports Nations Cup: PUBG Rosters and Invited Teams Confirmed
The Esports Foundation has announced the official rosters and team invitations for the PUBG competition at the upcoming Esports Nations Cup 2026, scheduled for November in Saudi Arabia. The tournament represents one of the most ambitious international esports events to date, aiming to determine which nation stands as the premier competitive gaming power.
The PUBG tournament attracted significant interest, with 80 national teams submitting applications to compete. However, the competition will be limited to just 24 squads at the main event, making the selection process highly competitive. The tournament’s country-based format reflects a growing trend in esports toward nation-versus-nation competitions that emphasize national pride and global representation.
The Esports Nations Cup follows the Esports World Cup, another major international tournament that was recently relocated to Paris. This strategic move has reportedly enhanced the event’s appeal and generated competitive momentum ahead of the Nations Cup. The calendar positioning of these two major tournaments demonstrates the esports industry’s commitment to establishing flagship international events that rival traditional sports in scale and prestige.
