Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has a Roblox tie-in video game
Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of The Odyssey now has an official tie-in video game: The Odyssey: Defy the Gods, available for free on Roblox. The game is rated 18+ for occasional and mild depictions of fear and violence.
Described as a survival sailing adventure set in the ancient ocean, the game challenges players to defy fate and sail home through various trials. Gameplay involves scavenging islands for food, resources, and crew members while carefully rationing supplies and appeasing the gods to secure safe passage across the sea. Players must pack their crew and manage their resources strategically as they navigate the perils of an ancient voyage.
This tie-in exemplifies the growing trend of major film releases receiving video game adaptations and companion experiences. By launching on Roblox, the game reaches audiences across multiple platforms and devices. The free-to-play model makes it accessible to fans of Nolan’s film who wish to engage with the story in an interactive format, extending their experience beyond the cinema.
