Rokky launches unofficial Steam tool for checking if bundle and press keys have been used
Rokky, a key distribution platform, has launched the Steam Key Checker, a free unofficial browser plugin designed to help publishers and developers monitor whether distributed Steam keys have been used. The tool works by allowing users to upload a CSV file containing issued keys, which are then verified against the user’s Steam partner account.
The plugin addresses practical needs in game distribution workflows, serving as a tool for “partner reconciliation and sales forecasting” as well as “safe post-bundle verification,” according to Rokky CEO Vadim Andreev. It is particularly targeted at publishers and developers who distribute large volumes of game keys and need to track their activation status.
Notably, the Steam Key Checker has not been developed with or approved by Valve, the company behind Steam. Despite its unofficial status, the plugin aims to fill a gap in Steam’s native tooling for key management and verification at scale. The free tool represents Rokky’s effort to provide publishers with better visibility into their key distribution campaigns and help them make more informed business decisions about future releases and partnerships.
