Zach Cregger to Produce Siren Head Movie Backed by Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. has secured film adaptation rights to Siren Head, the internet-famous creepypasta creature, in a competitive bidding war against five other studios. The acquisition was reportedly valued at one million dollars.
Filmmaker Zach Cregger, known for his work with The Whitest Kids ’n Skits and his expanding horror filmography, will produce and co-write the Siren Head adaptation. He’s collaborating with Brian Duffield, writer of the upcoming survival film Whalefall, who will also direct and co-write the screenplay. The production team includes producers Roy Lee and Andrew Childs from Vertigo Entertainment, alongside Scott Glassgold of 12:01 Films.
The adaptation represents another entry in Hollywood’s growing trend of transforming internet folklore and creepypasta stories into major studio films. Cregger is simultaneously directing Warner Bros.’ 2026 Resident Evil adaptation, positioning him as an increasingly prominent figure in the studio’s horror slate. His dual involvement underscores the film industry’s recognition of internet-born horror concepts as viable intellectual property for mainstream adaptation.
