The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Is Coming to Peacock at the End of July

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will arrive on Peacock on July 30, marking the streaming debut of Illumination’s animated sequel. The film has become a significant box office achievement, currently standing as the highest-grossing movie of 2026 and the first theatrical release of the year to cross $1 billion in global earnings.

Theatrical release on April 1 saw the movie earn $429 million domestically and over $1 billion worldwide before leaving cinemas. The film followed the standard theatrical window, becoming available for digital purchase after 45 days in theaters before arriving on Blu-ray in mid-June. Though highly successful, the sequel did not match its predecessor’s $1.3 billion worldwide total—that original film is also available on Peacock.

The streaming release continues the property’s expansion across platforms, bringing the Super Mario Galaxy film to a broad subscriber base through the NBC-owned service.
