When is The DC Update in Fortnite? Leaked Release Date & Content
Fortnite is preparing for a major DC Comics collaboration scheduled to arrive on July 16, according to prominent gaming leakers. The update will introduce superhero-themed content featuring DC characters to the battle royale game, continuing Epic Games’ established pattern of major franchise collaborations. The company has previously partnered with Disney-owned properties including Marvel and Star Wars, demonstrating its ability to secure high-profile intellectual property deals.
The DC update is expected to include cosmetics and other in-game content related to DC’s superhero universe. The announcement comes while the game is still in Chapter 7, Season 3, with players currently engaged in collecting Sprite-themed items. Additional details and “big reveals” regarding the DC update’s specific content are expected to be announced closer to the July 16 release date.
This collaboration represents another significant content drop for the live-service title, which regularly cycles through seasonal updates and limited-time crossovers to maintain player engagement and drive monetization through cosmetic sales.
