Sega Europe vet Post steps down as West Studios COO, Rovio’s Pelletier-Normand taking his place

Jurgen Post, a veteran of Sega Europe, has stepped down from his position as Chief Operating Officer of West Studios. The company announced that Alex Pelletier-Normand, currently CEO of Rovio (the Finnish studio behind the Angry Birds franchise), will assume the COO role while maintaining his existing position at Rovio. This dual appointment represents a consolidation of leadership across the two organizations.

Post will remain with Sega Europe in an advisory capacity, continuing to provide counsel to the company while stepping back from his operational responsibilities. His additional duties as regional managing director are being transferred to another team member. A Sega statement expressed gratitude for Post’s contributions to the organization, highlighting his tenure and value to the company during the transition.

The move reflects broader restructuring patterns within the gaming industry as major publishers consolidate leadership roles and manage their international operations more efficiently across subsidiary studios and acquired properties.
