$2.50 Steam Sale Has Everyone Smashing The Surveillance State
Watch Dogs 2, one of Ubisoft’s most underrated games, is currently available on Steam for just $2.50—a 95% discount from its standard $50 price tag. The promotion runs through July 9, making this an exceptionally steep sale that has captured renewed attention from players. Beyond the base game, Ubisoft is also offering discounted editions with additional content: the Deluxe Edition for $3 and the Gold Edition for $4.
The expanded editions include extra content such as new vehicles, cooperative adventures, outfits, weapons, and world missions. The timing of this promotion coincides with increased public awareness of surveillance and privacy concerns, lending additional relevance to Watch Dogs 2’s core themes of hacking and dismantling surveillance infrastructure in a fictional, digitized San Francisco.
The sale represents an opportunity for players to experience the full game and its additional content at minimal cost, with options to customize their purchase based on desired content level.
