Mouthwashing’s follow-up is self-described ‘friendsweat’ where 3 players struggle to operate a tank in a defiled city: ‘We’re definitely not quite at Peak, but we’re not trying to make Arma either’

Wrong Organ, the studio behind the breakout hit Mouthwashing, has announced Carcass Clad, a co-operative multiplayer game representing a significant departure from their previous title. The game was revealed at last month’s PC Gaming Show.

Carcass Clad tasks three players with operating a tank together in a defiled urban environment. The studio describes the experience as “friendsweat”—cooperative gameplay that creates stress and challenge for players working in tandem. Developers Jeffrey Tomec and Dave van Egdom emphasized that despite the pivot to multiplayer, the studio is deliberately positioning the game between casual and hardcore complexity; they’re “not trying to make Arma,” but moving beyond purely relaxed experiences.

The shift from Mouthwashing’s single-player experience to Carcass Clad’s multiplayer focus marks a notable creative direction change for Wrong Organ. While such transitions have sometimes been viewed skeptically in the industry, the developers appear confident in their approach, focusing on the unique challenges and rewards of cooperative multiplayer gameplay. The game maintains some thematic and atmospheric elements familiar to fans of Mouthwashing while delivering a fundamentally different gameplay experience centered on player coordination and shared objectives.
