First Look at Ghost of Tsushima Legends Anime Character Art
Crunchyroll unveiled the first character designs for the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime adaptation at Anime Expo, showcasing three main characters—the Assassin, Ronin, and Hunter—that the game’s protagonist will encounter on his journey.
The anime is being produced by Aniplex, the acclaimed studio behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Solo Leveling, and Sword Art Online. Character design duties are being handled by Takashi Okazaki, creator of the cult series Afro Samurai, with director Takanobu Mizuno overseeing the project. Scripts are being written by Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi of game and visual novel studio NITRO PLUS.
This marks another multimedia expansion of the Ghost of Tsushima franchise, which has successfully transitioned from PlayStation gaming to anime. The involvement of high-profile creative talent—particularly Okazaki’s distinctive art style and Aniplex’s production track record—indicates a significant quality commitment for this adaptation.
