Game of the Month: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (June 2026)
Push Square’s monthly Game of the Month voting results highlight June 2026 as an exceptionally weak month for new releases. The platform published reviews for only three PS5 games during the month, with disappointing critical reception across the board—just one title managed to score above 5/10. According to Push Square, this level of poor release performance and low volume is unprecedented in their history of running the monthly voting feature.
Amidst this sparse and underwhelming release schedule, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales was selected as the Game of the Month by reader votes. The selection reflects both the game’s relative quality compared to its monthly competition and community preference in an otherwise barren release window. The stark contrast between typical release patterns and June 2026’s output underscores broader challenges in the current gaming landscape, whether stemming from development timelines, publisher release strategies, or other industry factors affecting the production pipeline.
