Esports World Cup Partners With France’s National Television Broadcaster

The Esports World Cup 2026 has secured a significant broadcast partnership with France Télévisions, the country’s national public broadcaster. Under the deal brokered by N.E.O (New Esports Org), the tournament will air daily highlights through “La Minute EWC,” a dedicated show airing at 9pm on France 4 and late-night slots on France 2, as well as online through france.tv.

The tournament recently relocated from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Paris, France following ongoing geopolitical conflicts and travel restrictions affecting the Middle East region. This move to Paris positions the event within Western Europe and closer to the region’s esports audiences.

The highlights program will broadcast every day for seven weeks, beginning July 7 and concluding August 23 with the championship final. The partnership brings mainstream media visibility to competitive esports, with the state broadcaster serving as the official French Media Partner for the event.

N.E.O, the organization that brokered the deal, is simultaneously overseeing League of Legends Game Changers Rising, another competitive initiative. This broadcast arrangement represents a milestone in esports mainstream integration, as major national broadcasters increasingly dedicate resources and programming blocks to esports coverage.
