Cyberpunk Edgerunners Arrives in Apex Legends This Month
Respawn Entertainment and CD Projekt Red announced a crossover event bringing Cyberpunk content to Apex Legends, launching July 14 and running through August 4, 2026. The collaboration introduces characters and cosmetics from both Cyberpunk 2077 and the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series to the battle royale.
The event features eight Cyberpunk-themed Legend skins, including popular characters such as David Martinez and Lucy Kushinada. Beyond cosmetics, the crossover introduces substantial gameplay changes, including new Cyberware Mods—specifically Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach—that provide tactical enhancements. Sandevistan enables rapid dashes in any direction while recharging shields, with the ability to chain two dashes for gap-closing or escape.
The Apex Legends E-District map is receiving a complete Night City-themed overhaul, transforming the landscape with glowing neon towers and holograms displaying Cyberpunk corporation logos. Additionally, the fast-paced Wildcard mode is being augmented with two Cyberpunk-inspired powers, further integrating the crossover into core gameplay.
This collaboration reflects the continued popularity of the Cyberpunk franchise, with Lucy and other characters already appearing in recent crossovers including Guilty Gear Strive and Wuthering Waves. The event positions Apex Legends alongside other battle royales in their approach to major IP collaborations, expanding the game’s cosmetic and gameplay offerings.
