Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s next big update is now available to test, here’s what’s new
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s next major content update, Sim Update 6, has entered public beta testing and is scheduled for release sometime in July or August. Players can now access the beta to test the update ahead of its official launch.
The update was detailed at FSExpo last month and represents the next milestone in the game’s ongoing development roadmap. Sim Update 6 follows recent releases including City Update 15 and World Update 22, continuing Microsoft’s commitment to regularly expanding the flight simulation with new locations and features.
The game maintains an ambitious content schedule through the end of the year, with Sim Update 6 introducing several new features to enhance the simulation experience. While the article notes new additions are coming, the complete feature list was presented during the FSExpo event.
By offering early access through beta testing, Microsoft and developer Asobo Studio enable the community to experience upcoming content and provide feedback before the wider release. This testing approach has become standard for the game’s development cycle, allowing players to help identify issues and ensuring quality before official launch.
