The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops PlayStation re-releases seemingly drop a few fondly remembered features

Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 are launching on PS4 and PS5, with trophy lists now publicly available indicating imminent release. The appearance of trophy lists typically signals that a game will launch within days.

However, the trophy lists reveal that some beloved features from the original games will not be included in the re-releases. Black Ops 1 is missing Wager Matches and Theater Mode, two notable features from the classic title. Black Ops 2 will be missing League Play, though this was described as a “much less important” feature.

The re-releases will include comprehensive trophy lists for completionists. Black Ops 1 features a total of 70 trophies to earn across the base game and DLC packs (49 trophies needed for the Platinum). Black Ops 2 includes 91 trophies total, with 51 trophies in the base game and 40 spread across DLC packs.

A significant inclusion is that both re-releases will feature all DLC packs from the original games, allowing players to experience the full content libraries alongside the new trophy lists. This comprehensive approach ensures trophy hunters and long-time fans will have access to the complete multiplayer and campaign experiences these games are known for.

The feature omissions may disappoint players expecting exact ports of the originals, though the inclusion of all DLC content and new trophy incentives should provide substantial replay value for PS4 and PS5 owners.
