Xbox Game Pass Members Are Being Treated To A Surprise New Release Today (July 8)
Buckshot Roulette, a horror game that has achieved significant success on Steam, has made a surprise debut on Xbox Game Pass. The game launched without prior announcement across Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, and cloud gaming services on the Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscription tiers.
The game presents players with a tense, claustrophobic single-player experience centered around Russian Roulette gameplay against an AI dealer. Beyond the solo campaign, the title features a multiplayer mode supporting up to four players, adding a competitive or cooperative element to the horror experience.
While Buckshot Roulette is brand-new to Xbox platforms, it has been available on PC for several years, where it has built a substantial fanbase. The game’s “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam demonstrates strong critical and player reception, making it a notable addition to Game Pass’s library.
This surprise addition represents an unexpected boost for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, particularly those on console platforms experiencing the game for the first time. The inclusion of the title across multiple subscription tiers and platforms underscores Microsoft’s continued efforts to expand Game Pass offerings and provide diverse content to its subscriber base.
