Dune: Part Three Trailer Event Reveals Intense Battle Sequence Screening Before The Odyssey

Warner Bros. held a major international promotional event for Dune: Part Three, debuting the film’s new trailer across IMAX theaters worldwide with a simulcast featuring a live Q&A session with director Denis Villeneuve and star Timothée Chalamet from the Los Angeles venue.

In addition to the trailer premiere, attendees were shown an extended battle sequence from the film. This footage had previously screened at CinemaCon in April but was now presented in full IMAX format, with Villeneuve noting the sequence was originally shot in IMAX 70mm.

The new trailer reveals the central dramatic conflict of Dune: Part Three, which takes place two decades after the events of Dune: Part Two. The story focuses on the deteriorating relationship between Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya). Paul has become consumed by power and transformed into a ruthless emperor with a devoted following, though his brutal leadership has alienated those closest to him, particularly Chani.

The tensions between the pair escalate dramatically, with Chani apparently forming an alliance with Scytale (Robert Pattinson) in an attempt to dethrone and eliminate Paul. Paul faces multiple threats, including combat against Hayt, a clone of his former friend Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa).

The event marked a significant marketing push for the third installment of the Dune franchise, generating considerable fan engagement through the theatrical presentation and direct interaction with the filmmakers.
