Fallout TV Series Lands 10 Emmy Nominations For Season 2, But Actors Get Snubbed
Amazon’s Fallout TV series received 10 Emmy nominations for Season 2, down from 16 nominations for Season 1 in 2024, which won two awards. The nominations recognize the show’s technical and design achievements, spanning Outstanding Production Design, Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Period or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Hairstyling, Outstanding Period or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Makeup (Non-Prosthetic), and Outstanding Stunt Performance.
However, the nomination slate notably excludes any recognition for the show’s cast. Despite critical acclaim for his performance as The Ghoul in Season 2, actor Walton Goggins did not receive a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor, representing a significant snub for one of the show’s standout performances. The omission extends to other cast members including Ella Purnell (Lucy), Aaron Moten (Max), and Kyle MacLachlan (Hank).
The show’s technical achievements remain strong, with the production design, costume design, hair and makeup departments earning recognition for episodes including “The Wrangler” and “The Strip.” This pattern reflects a focus on behind-the-scenes craftsmanship rather than on-screen performances. While the 10 nominations represent substantial recognition from the Television Academy, the absence of any acting nods has drawn particular attention given Goggins’ widely praised portrayal throughout the season.
