Back Page: After 40 Years, It’s High Time Link Got Some Pyjamas
Nintendo Life’s Back Page feature presents a humorous commentary piece questioning why Link, the protagonist of The Legend of Zelda franchise, has never been depicted wearing pajamas despite the series spanning 40 years. The article, introduced through wordplay combining “The Minish Cap” (a Game Boy Advance entry in the series) with “nightcap,” makes the tongue-in-cheek argument that it’s finally time the legendary hero received proper bedwear. The Back Page is Nintendo Life’s semi-regular feature section dedicated to lighthearted, tangentially-related commentary and jokes about gaming culture that don’t fit into standard editorial coverage. As an outlet for playful takes on beloved gaming franchises and characters, the feature allows writers to explore humorous angles on gaming’s most iconic personalities and long-running series conventions.
