Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Has Already Earned the Series’ Biggest Player Peak on Steam
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has launched to strong player numbers on Steam, achieving the highest concurrent player peak of any Assassin’s Creed game on the platform. The ground-up remake reached approximately 99,451 concurrent players at its launch peak, surpassing previous franchise entries significantly.
The strong debut represents a notable achievement for the series on Steam. By comparison, last year’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows peaked at 64,825 concurrent players, while Assassin’s Creed Odyssey reached 62,069. This makes Black Flag Resynced’s launch roughly 50% more successful than its most recent mainline predecessor in terms of concurrent Steam players.
It’s worth noting that direct comparisons between entries are complicated by the fact that not all Assassin’s Creed games released simultaneously on Steam. The popular Viking-themed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, for instance, arrived on the platform later rather than at launch. Despite these caveats, Black Flag Resynced’s performance clearly demonstrates substantial player interest in the remake of the beloved pirate-themed adventure title.
