Digimon Story Time Stranger 60fps Patch Out Now on PS5, Adds Photo Mode and More

Bandai Namco has released a major performance update for Digimon Story Time Stranger on PlayStation 5, delivering on a promise made over eight months ago. The creature-taming RPG, which launched with a locked 30fps performance cap, now includes a 60fps performance mode following the July 9th patch.

The update addresses one of the game’s most significant technical limitations since its release. In addition to the frame rate improvement, the patch introduces a photo mode and other enhancements, though specific details about additional features were not disclosed in the announcement.

The eight-month gap between the initial promise and delivery represents a substantial development timeline for the optimization work. The implementation of the 60fps mode suggests the developers have completed the necessary engine improvements and performance tuning required to achieve the doubled frame rate on PS5 hardware.
