This Riftbound Vendetta Champion Card Introduces A Decade-Old Champion To The TCG
Riftbound: Vendetta, the fourth set in the League of Legends Trading Card Game, introduces Illaoi, Prophet of the Great Kraken as a new Champion card. Illaoi, whose character has been part of League of Legends lore since 2015, marks the first time this decade-old champion appears in the TCG after previously featuring in other League spin-offs including 2XKO and The Ruined King.
The Champion card is classified as Chaos-aligned, indicated by its purple color, and costs six runes to play. This addition continues Riftbound’s effort to translate League of Legends’ extensive champion roster into playable card versions. With over 160 champions in the MOBA and only three previous Riftbound sets released, the trading card game’s design team has substantial ground remaining to cover.
The reveal represents another expansion of Riftbound’s roster beyond the most recognizable names from the MOBA. Riftbound: Vendetta is scheduled to release later this month.
