This $8 Marvel Super Heroes MTG combo creates infinite creatures and card draw
Magic: The Gathering’s Marvel Super Heroes set continues to blend Universes Within and Universes Beyond mechanics in unexpected ways, creating new strategic opportunities for players. The set features a powerful Izzet (red-blue) combo centered around Mister Fantastic, the alter ego of Marvel’s Reed Richards.
Mister Fantastic is an uncommon four-mana card featuring a 2/4 body with reach that serves as the engine for this infinite combo. Its key ability triggers whenever tokens enter the battlefield, allowing players to draw a card each time. This effect combines with other cards in the set—including The Incredible Hulk and Caltrops—to generate an infinite loop that produces both unlimited creature tokens and unlimited card draws.
At approximately 50 cents on TCGplayer, Mister Fantastic is an affordable way to access this powerful combo, making it accessible to players at various budget levels. The card exemplifies Magic: The Gathering’s ongoing approach of integrating crossover sets with existing mechanics, enabling novel synergies that weren’t previously possible.
