Palworld’s Massive 1.0 Patch Notes Detail New Sunreach Area, Mutations, And 72 More Pals
Palworld has officially launched its full 1.0 version after more than two years in early access. The update arrives with expansive patch notes spanning 27–40 pages that fundamentally overhaul multiple game systems and content.
The update introduces 72 new Pals to the game world—47 entirely new creatures and 25 variants—bringing the total roster to 287 Pals. Two significant new gameplay mechanics debut with the launch: an Awakening system that allows players to push their favourite Pals beyond standard limits, and a mutations system for additional creature variety.
Developer Pocketpair has substantially reworked the game’s narrative experience. Story missions have been completely redesigned to deepen exploration of the Palpagos island, with the previously inaccessible World Tree now serving as a central narrative focal point. Additional story-driven sub-missions, new NPCs, and environmental journals expand the game’s narrative content. The update also introduces a new Sunreach area to explore and revamped settlement systems. The 1.0 launch marks the culmination of the game’s extended early access period, officially bringing the title to full release status.
