How to get Panthalus in Palworld
Palworld has added Panthalus, a legendary giant whale pal, in a recent update. To catch this newly-added legendary creature, players must first complete a quest that becomes available after defeating a new tower boss in the 1.0 update. The quest can be started by visiting the Ancient Civilization Researcher at the Deserted Islet location.
Notably, players don’t need to progress through the full tower system to challenge Panthalus. If sufficiently prepared, players can fight the legendary whale at any time once they reach the Deserted Islet, provided they visit the Ancient Civilization Researcher. This means that even players who haven’t advanced far in the tower progression system can still attempt to catch Panthalus, as long as they’re strong enough for the challenging boss fight.
The encounter is described as a difficult battle, requiring both preparation and combat skill to succeed. Successfully defeating Panthalus allows players to add this legendary pal to their collection. The addition of Panthalus represents the type of high-level content typical of Palworld’s endgame, where legendary pals serve as challenging bosses that reward players with rare captures.
