GoldenEye-inspired FPS Agent 64: Spies Never Die finally releases in August, complete with optional big heads

Agent 64: Spies Never Die, a retro first-person shooter inspired by GoldenEye 007, launches on August 11, 2026. The game is developed by solo creator Replicant D6 after more than five years of development, with the developer confirming via Steam that the project is nearly complete and ready for its final release.

The title captures the spirit of 1990s spy shooters, offering players a throwback experience to that era of gaming. Among its features is support for optional big heads—a classic game modifier that originated from GoldenEye and has become a nostalgic staple of that generation of FPS games. The release comes in a year that has already seen a modern interpretation of the James Bond franchise through IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, providing players with both contemporary and retro takes on spy-themed gaming.
