Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen’s new region and dungeons sound great, but I’m more excited to finally high-five my Pawn on command

Capcom has revealed details about Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the upcoming expansion set to launch in October. According to interviews with expansion director Kento Kinoshita and producer Naoto Oyama, the DLC will introduce substantial new content for high-level players.

The expansion features a new northern region designed for endgame characters, accompanied by fresh story content that expands the game’s narrative. Players will also gain access to repeatable and randomized dungeons, providing ongoing replayability for veterans of the base game.

The Dark Arisen expansion aims to offer a significant content update for the action RPG, continuing Capcom’s post-launch support for Dragon’s Dogma 2. While major gameplay additions like the new region and dungeons represent the core appeal, developer commentary suggests quality-of-life improvements are also part of the package, including long-requested features such as direct pawn interaction commands.
