PlayStation’s FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick Postponed Due to “Unexpected Production Delays”

PlayStation has postponed the launch of its FlexStrike wireless fight stick to an unspecified future date due to production delays. The controller was originally scheduled to release on August 6, 2026, coinciding with the launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a Marvel-themed fighting game developed by Arc System Works that PlayStation is publishing.

The company announced the delay on July 14, 2026, via a blog post, citing “unexpected production delays” as the reason. In their statement, PlayStation emphasized they’re “working to ensure we deliver the best possible experience to our players with FlexStrike, so we’re taking extra time to put the finishing touches on the product.” The company has apologized for the delay and promised to share more details about the new launch window soon.

The FlexStrike is an official wireless fight stick controller designed for PS5 and PC. The delay means it will no longer launch alongside Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, potentially impacting the game’s launch day experience for fighting game enthusiasts who were planning to use the new hardware.

Players who have already pre-ordered the FlexStrike will need to wait for further updates from PlayStation regarding availability and revised launch timing.
