After two years, Once Human is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with full cross-progression

Once Human, the free-to-play multiplayer survival game that launched on PC two years ago, is expanding to new platforms. After a mobile version launched in 2025, the game will now arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on August 25, 2026. The title will also be available through the Xbox app on PC starting the same date.

The expansion brings full cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms, allowing players to link their accounts regardless of whether they’ve been playing on PC, mobile, or console. While not an Xbox Play Anywhere title, the free-to-play nature of Once Human means players won’t need to purchase the game separately across platforms—they’ll only need to link their accounts to maintain progression and access existing content.

The console launch follows a period of beta testing that helped optimize the survival experience for gamepad controls and console performance. Once Human’s move to consoles represents a significant expansion for the title, potentially opening it to millions of new players as it transitions from a primarily PC-based playerbase to a multi-platform audience.
