Hit Superhero Comedy Game Dispatch Finally Lands on Xbox This Month, Uncensored Scenes and All

Dispatch, the hit superhero workplace comedy game from AdHoc Studio, will launch on Xbox Series X|S on July 29, 2026, nearly a year after its initial release on PC and PlayStation 5 in October 2025. The announcement confirms the game’s arrival across Microsoft’s platforms, including Xbox Series X|S consoles, PC via Xbox, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and with full Xbox Play Anywhere support, though Game Pass availability has not been announced.

Developed by writers and directors who previously worked on critically acclaimed titles like The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands, Dispatch is a narrative-adventure game that blends choice-based gameplay mechanics similar to Telltale games and Life is Strange with its own unique style. Players take on the role of a downed superhero who becomes a dispatcher for a dysfunctional crew, with their decisions shaping the story throughout the experience.

The Xbox release comes roughly six months after the game launched on Nintendo Switch 2 in January 2026, which notably faced controversy over unexpected last-minute censorship. Developer AdHoc Studio addressed these concerns with a patch last month that largely alleviated the censorship issues, though some restrictions remained due to Nintendo’s requirements.

With the Xbox launch, Dispatch will now be available across major platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox, solidifying its position as one of 2025’s standout indie titles. The game’s consistent availability across platforms demonstrates strong industry support for the title’s unique blend of comedy, narrative depth, and player agency.
