Former Epic Games VP appointed Saber Interactive’s chief business officer

Steve Allison, former Epic Games vice president, has been appointed Chief Business Officer of Saber Interactive, reporting directly to CEO Matthew Karch. In this role, Allison will oversee the developer’s publishing, marketing, and revenue operations.

Saber Interactive, founded in 2001 by co-founders Andrey Iones and Anton Krupkin, has built its reputation on a distinctive business model: its network of talented studios can produce high-quality games at 30-50% below industry-standard development costs. Allison highlighted this competitive advantage as a key factor in his decision to join, noting it positions the studio favorably amid economic pressures in the gaming industry.

The appointment comes as Saber prepares to launch an ambitious slate of upcoming titles. The company’s announced projects include Space Marine 3, Jurassic Park, Turok, Hellraiser, and a John Wick video game adaptation. Additionally, Saber has several unannounced projects in development that the company plans to reveal in the coming weeks.

Allison brings significant industry experience from his tenure at Epic Games, a company known for innovation in publishing and monetization strategies. His appointment signals Saber Interactive’s strategic focus on strengthening its business operations and publishing capabilities as the studio positions itself for growth within the competitive gaming landscape.
