Forza Horizon 6 update throws the game’s economy into chaos
Forza Horizon 6’s latest update introduced a new four-week Italian Exotics series and Italian Passion Car Pack featuring new Ferraris and Alfa Romeos. However, the update has upset the community with significant changes to the game’s economy that make acquiring rare cars substantially harder. Playground Games removed the Auction House price cap for cars not purchasable through the Autoshow—a change the developer downplayed in its patch notes with minimal explanation.
Combined with the economic shifts, the studio announced it will wipe leaderboards while patching out exploits, stating the action ensures “everyone has a clean sheet.” The leaderboard reset underscores the scale of the changes being made to the live-service title’s systems. While the new Italian-themed content provides fresh gameplay options, the economy rebalancing has created significant friction within the player base regarding accessibility and fairness in acquiring collectible vehicles.
