Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a permanent price cut less than 18 months after launch
Capcom is implementing a permanent price reduction for Monster Hunter Wilds, less than 18 months after the game’s launch. The price cut takes effect August 3-4 depending on the player’s region.
Alongside the price reduction, Capcom is restructuring its DLC and bundle offerings. Three existing bundles—the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Cosmetic DLC Pass—are being discontinued and replaced with revised options. The new lineup includes a Gold Edition bundling the base game with the Cosmetic DLC Collection, which consolidates cosmetic content from the first four DLC packs, the Festival Accord DLC, and the Deluxe Pack.
This restructuring represents a shift in monetization strategy, consolidating previously separate DLC offerings into more streamlined packages. The move appears designed to simplify purchasing options for both existing and new players while reorganizing the game’s DLC ecosystem. Such bundle consolidation is common for maturing titles as publishers optimize pricing and inventory management.
