New Ratchet & Clank Game Rumored For October
Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, the upcoming mobile spinoff from the iconic PlayStation series, is now available for pre-registration on iOS and Android. The free-to-play third-person multiplayer arena shooter was first announced in November 2025 and represents the franchise’s expansion into mobile gaming.
Developed by Oh BiBi and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the game has already undergone testing and soft launch phases in select territories including Canada, the Nordic region, France, and parts of Asia. With pre-registration now open, the game is preparing for its full global launch.
According to the App Store listing, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is expected to release in October 2026. The multiplayer-focused title marks a significant departure from the single-player action-adventure formula that defines the main franchise, instead embracing the “hero shooter” genre popular in mobile gaming.
The announcement of the spin-off has generated mixed reactions from the community. While some players remain cautious about the shift to live-service multiplayer gameplay, others have expressed skepticism about the mobile direction, with community commentary suggesting the concept seemed contrary to the franchise’s satirical sensibilities.
