STALZONE Just Got a Photo Mode, More Than Ten Years Later

STALZONE has received a major quality-of-life update after more than a decade of development. The game, which originally launched as STALCRAFT in 2014 and has since undergone several rebrandings, combines the post-apocalyptic gameplay loop of the STALKER series with the blocky visual aesthetic of Minecraft.

The latest update introduces a photo mode feature—a first for the title. While relatively basic compared to photo modes in other modern games, it represents a significant addition to STALZONE’s creative tools. The feature is accessed by pressing F4, the default hotkey, and provides players with several options for capturing and styling their in-game photography.

The photo mode includes a suite of basic but functional tools: players can adjust zoom levels, rotate the camera roll, enable a grid overlay for composition assistance, and apply visual presets to their shots. The development team notes there are twelve distinct styled presets available, allowing players to customize the aesthetic of their photographs beyond the base game’s visual style.

This addition comes from EXBO, the studio responsible for maintaining and evolving STALZONE over the years. The game has maintained an active player base despite its unconventional aesthetic hybrid, and this feature update suggests the team remains committed to adding quality-of-life improvements and creative features.
