Crimson Desert Adds Cross-Save Support Between PS5, Series X/S and PC, Wins Technical Innovation Award at Develop
Crimson Desert has received patch 1.14, which introduces cross-save support across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. The feature was released on July 16, 2026, bringing one of the most heavily requested functionalities to the open-world RPG, nearly four months after the game’s launch earlier this year.
To enable cross-saves, players must access the save menu to opt-in to the feature. The process requires players to link their platform account to a Pearl Abyss ID; users without an existing ID can create one during the process. Once linked, players can seamlessly continue their progress across PS5, Xbox consoles, and PC (via both Steam and Epic Game Store). macOS support for the cross-save feature is planned for a future update.
The update delivers more than just cross-save functionality. Patch 1.14 includes various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements aimed at enhancing the overall player experience. The development of this feature has been recognized by the industry, as Pearl Abyss won a Technical Innovation Award at Develop for the cross-save implementation. While Xbox players previously had access to console saves on PC through Xbox Play Anywhere, the native cross-save support now provides a unified, standardized solution across all platforms.
