Microsoft rolls out 6 helpful new Windows 11 Insider features for early July, including one built to protect your PC from disaster
Microsoft’s early July 2026 Windows Insider Program releases introduced several new features and improvements for Windows 11, focused on enhancing user experience and system reliability.
Key additions include a Cloud rebuild recovery feature designed to protect PCs from system failures, alongside a redesigned account manager accessible through the Start menu. These are part of the Windows 11 version 26H2 update cycle.
Microsoft expanded previously announced features across more Insider testing channels, including the ability for users to upgrade Windows 11 Home editions to Pro Education—specifically targeting K-12 educational environments. Users also gained new customization options for the taskbar, including adjustable position and size settings.
Windows Update improvements were also included in this release cycle. These early July updates reflect Microsoft’s iterative approach to Windows 11 development, allowing Insider Program participants to test and provide feedback on new functionality before wider public release.
